I'm running O (10.0.3) on a G5 mac with a Quadro FX 4500 graphics card and find that when O launches the graphics pane has a bad flicker, which goes away when I activate stereo (F1) and returns when I switch back to mono. The flicker is only in the graphics pane - shell windows etc are all fine in both modes. Since I don't always want to work in stereo I'd like to find out how to fix the problem. The sterographics LED emitter is OFF when the machine boots, but comes on as soon as O is run (and lights before the graphics pane is drawn while O is waiting for input from the shell window), and then stays on irrespective of the stereomode. The VGA monitor setting for the CRT at 1280 x 1024 @ 100 Hz (I have a small flat panel in the 2nd video port running at same resolution NOT in mirror mode).
