we are gathering info for requisition of new graphic workstations to outfit a computing core lab and we would like to go with the new Mac Pro. has anyone gotten a hold of one and is the default configured graphics card good enough i.e. for good performance of O, Pymol, coot, etc? it is a Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT with 256 Mb memory. we have no need for multiple displays and we are wondering if the ATI Radeon X1900 XT option is necessary, given limited budgets.
