RE: [o-info] O freezing on Linux

Thanks to all the people who shared their experiences with O freezing on
Linux.

Just to add to my previous message:
We have a Dell 530 machine running red hat 7.2
The graphics card is ATI FireGL-2

And

O now freezes irrespective of the size of map being displayed. In fact in
one test, I kept the map off and still the problem occurred.

Is their a patch or something that we could use to prevent further
occurrence of this problem? We had to replace a machine couple of weeks ago
due to problems that started with O freezing; the frequency of freezing
increasing with time and eventually the machine pronounced unusable.  I
certainly do not to repeat it.

Would the graphic card be suspect?

what graphics card / X-server are you using? I have a similar problem on
one of my machines which is due to the E&S Tornado graphics card in
