O v7.1 display

I am having some trouble with the the display losing color and properly
displaying menus.  I created a new O database and the problem persisted.  Has
anyone else experience this problem. If so, how do I fix it.

In addition, upon startup, v7.1 asks for new menu.o and startup.o files.  When
I load startup.odb the program states "startup.o file for O version 7." However, when I load
menu.odb the program states that "menu.o file for O version 7.0 build 000226."
