i have just run the spin tests on an SG Octane R10k (2x195MHz), MXI
graphics. o runs fine, lines look good, line performance is the same as an
impact, solids about twice my mips4400 / high impact. stereo seems fine (i
had no transmitter but the images were there).

a number of peope have asked what machines i have bought. i've just ordered
a bunch of DEC Personal workstations PWS 433 AUs for most of the lab, and
some O2s for the remainder. the PWS machines will have powerstorm 40t cards
in them.

i've not had time to work on the sun yet, but i've promised to do it soon.
